Welcome to the site where the owners and members have had it with playing "nice" and being "inclusive" and "tolerant" of points of view that are destroying the fabric of what made this country great. The members here are sick and tired of politicians of all parties lying, deceiving, stealing, and pretending they are doing it all for the good of the country while selling out to special interests who have the set goal of destroying this country. We have had enough of career politicians who use their office only for personal gain, and who refuse to listen to the people who put them in office. The membership is no longer part of the silent majority who play nice and get along while getting screwed by anyone with a loud voice and an agenda. We will no longer allow anyone to piss down our back and tell us it's raining. And we like guns too.

Question WTF is THIS?

Lately...there have been sites that have a popup that tells the viewer with script and voice that they are microsoft and that your computer is infected with a virus that is relaying your CC numbers, bank acct numbers etc...while you are viewing it...and...that unless you call a number it gives you...your PC will be disabled/ destroyed permanently...10-9-8-7-6-5-4- ...etc.

Anyone else encounter THAT?

Better update your anti-virus, better yet, switch to one that works, like Avast, install NoScript and run it and use more than one ad-blocker... Make sure your pop-up settings in your browser are set to not allow them, too.

I run at least two ad-blockers, anti-virus, although with Linux, it's not as vulnerable, and take control of cookies and everything else that can import any malware...

I paid some Texas outfit $199.99 last month for cleaning up mine. They installed Panda Pro after removing my free AVAST.

Sounds like you got some malware or ransomware. Maybe Malwarebytes will remove it, but often when you get infected the malware won't allow you to install a malware-erasing software on your computer.

Malware bytes is another good cleaner, so is SuperAntiSpyware. Run them back to back, because what one missed, the other usually gets.

Avast is still the number one anti-virus out there, free or otherwise. One of the best tools in Avast is the "Boot Time Scan" where you reboot your Windows machine and it works at the boot level and finds all sorts of crap.

Question

O.K. right now I think I have McKaffee? or some damn thing?
But Avast I read wants to download for free. Every time I see free I usually run away it ends up costing me a damn fortune.
So if I download it, which I would rather pay and not worry what is Avast getting for downloading it for nada money what's the catch.?????

That may be a bogus site, just like the habibis who call saying they are from the Microsoft Technical Department and you have a virus in your computer.

If you are dumb and stupid you pay them to infect your computer so they get you again next year. Just close the browser and run a scan. Avast will stop any legitimate attack before it can do harm most of the times.

I don't know who your cable company is, but if you have Comcast, you can download the full version of the Norton Security Suite for free. And it come with the Power Eraser tool to sniff out the deep rooted stuff.
