You need an FFL for a stripped receiver? Mine died a few years ago or I'd get one.

What Is A High Shelf Lower And Compare With Low Shelf
https://www.dailyshooting.com/what-i...h-shelf-lower/ Guess it is just a regular receiver designed so it does not accept a LEGAL registered auto sear? |

I get my receivers from the nice guys over here at Tactical in Deland. The blems are only $39.00 and they usually give me a vets discount which I never even asked for? The blems you have to sit with a magnifying glass to even find the damn blem. The least smallest imperfection with cosmetics they call them a blem. Their is nothing nada with structural perfection strictly a slight tiny spot you have to search to find. |

It has been so long since I milled and drilled a semi AR receiver into the M-16 FA configuration...I don't really remember much except the chips flying. I had all the dimensions/measurements once...now?? I recall checking the blueprint I once had against a form 4 Colt M-16 lower I stripped down to examine and measure. The prints I had were spot on.
I wonder where that print went. Pisses me off when I can't find shit like that. Shit used to be everywhere. |

I bought another Aero Precision Property of USA M16A4 Lower a couple of weeks ago. I put the parts minus a trigger in. Still not sure how I'll finish it out or when. Most likely I'll do another pistol with a brace, only because I have a complete short upper for the M16 in the safe. I wouldn't mind another Fostech Gen II triggered lower.

Marking it M-16....just might be TABOO. I read recently that a fellow ENGRAVED two very small circles onto an AR15 receiver to simulate the sear pin. ATF busted him for an illegal/unregistered FA conversion. Although THAT does not seen to make much sense... Kinda like having a picture of an M-60, and being arrested for having the pic. |
