Silencer on shotgun?
Watched the movie, "No Country for Old Men". The drug lord character carries this shotgun with a huge silencer on the end. Interesting piece, looks pretty cool, though I'm sure the weight up front must be a pain.
For you shotgun 'smiths - is that possible, or just a movie prop that works with blanks? |

I watched NCFOM ... the wetback used a pneumatic hammer used for killing slaughter house cattle. I laughed every time he used it. Maybe I have the wrong movie? |

Holly Crap,,,,I ran into one of the Silenceco's set upon a shotgun in a local fun shop yesterday when I was out and about doing errands.
THAT FRIGGING THING IS HUGE!!! The shotty it was on was about as long as a 91/30 Mossin with it on there,,,what a ungainly beast that thing is!! I don't like it myself, you try to swing that thing,,,,,IT REALLY SWINGS,,,They may be light, but you stick it on the end of a 20" barrel like that one,,then it feels heavy! It certainly is not well balanced at all and just feels weird to me. I can see if you had it on a short "riot barrel" length gun it may be OK, but on a longer barrel it's really feels weird as Hell IMO. You have to hold the gun different too,and it really needs a comb riser to be able to get a good cheek weld on the stock. I'd have to pass on one myself, it doesn't appeal to me much. But in all fairness the LOP was wrong for me on that particular gun, so that could have contributed to the weird feel . |

Before they found out the father was a pervert, they developed one on the "Sons Of Guns" TV show. They had a hell of a time getting it to lower the DB rating by very much on a Saiga 12 ga. The whole thing was an abortion, like most of the crap they came up with on that show.

Watched guys with "silenced" Uzi's and MAC type pistols at an NFA event.
Cool, movie stuff. Watching was fun, fun, fun. I wouldn't buy it. Just me, just my opinion. I'd prefer an SBR without the muffler, my preference. |
