Knauss Dried Beef is the best and most common here since it’s local, had deer smoked and chipped lots of smoke flavor but the kids aren’t fond of it. Have to wait till hunting is over in February to get it made at the deer butcher shop says it takes a lot of smoking the hind quarters to make it, tying up the smoke house.

I often order SOS when I eat breakfast out. That or sausage gravy & biscuits.

A while back I was cooking breakfast for some friends. One of them said make bacon grease gravy. It was ok, but sucked when compared SOTS or sausage gravy. I guess hiss dad was way more frugal then mine!
