Two young people need your prayers
Just a few days ago, I learned a 22 yr old lady friend of my wife died in a horrific car crash. She was waiting at an intersection of a hwy for traffic to clear before turning onto the hwy when a 20 year old man lost control of his car and crossed the center line and into the ditch. He was going around 60 mph when he hit the road approach the lady was waiting at and his car went airborne sawing the top of her car off... killing her instantly.
The news of her death came within hours of the accident and it turns out a guy who I employ has a daughter who's best friend's with the unfortunate young lady and remember him answering his phone to his emotional daughter explaining the loss of her friend. A day after the accident, I come to find out I know the young man who hit & killed her. He plays on my kickball team in the summer. He's a good kid but made a seriously bad mistake....inattentive driving. Rumor has it he was engrossed in his smart phone at the time and forgot that he was driving for a few seconds. The weird part is he knew the girl he killed and makes it even harder for him to grasp what he has done. The deceased 22 yr old lady left a 3 year old daughter to grow up without ever knowing her mother. Shitty story all the way around ... I know... but there are two families that are smarting right now and could use a prayer or two. |
