june bugs.
i'm starting to believe these are the stupidest fucking creatures on the planet.
i turn on the back light to let the dog out and they just show up within seconds , flying into shit, spinning on their backs like they're retarded trying to take off. saw one with a body the size of my thumb, it kept attacking an empty beer can till it was worn out. the bats don't mind them though, every morning i come out and just find the remaining head/thorax portions laying all over. The only plant they mess with are my eggplants. they take little bites out of the leaves. Starting to see the lined/striped hissing versions once in awhile.

One hit me in the forehead one evening when I was riding my motorcycle without a face shield. It splattered on my forehead and there was bug pieces all over my face. And it left a big knot on my forehead.

No june bugs here...but walking down the street in phoenix AZ a few nights ago after 10 PM...on the sidewalk near Mexican restaurants are the biggest cock roaches i have ever seen in my life.......hundreds of them in one disgusting 36" square section of sidewalk. ...they were obviously eating something.....it was startling to walk up to.

If it looks like something is chewing little holes in the leaves and turning them into lace it could be flea beetles, they love eggplant. Give them a good sprinkle of Sevin dust, that will take care of them.

We call them "TumbleTurds" here, because they are dung beetles. Us kids would tie a thread to them and let them fly around on a leash.
