My camp stove
It burns an Isobutane/Propane mix fuel. It will boil a cup of water in about 1 minute. Perfect for instant coffee and Lipton soup while I'm camping.

I took a Whisperlite International to Africa and never used it as there as plenty of fuel for fires. We had a Mandela microwave that cook a lot of stuff in the fire.

I found it. Looks like a low pressure system. Brian

How much burn time do you get on an 8 ounce can?

Quite a bit from what I've been reading on camping forums. You can get 4 oz, 8 oz, and 16 oz cans. One guy said he cooked every meal for a three day camping trip with a 4 oz can and had almost half left. I don't know what kind of cooking he did. That would make a significant difference.
It also depends on how high you run the flame. I have heater meals for most of my meals when camping. I want the small camp stove for coffee, dried soup, and hot chocolate. I'll try it out before going on my trip heating water for hot chocolate at home and get a feeling how much fuel it uses. I have two 16 oz containers and I'm going to pick up a couple of 4 oz containers as well. |

Looks like something I wouldn't want to step on out in the field.
