Welcome to the site where the owners and members have had it with playing "nice" and being "inclusive" and "tolerant" of points of view that are destroying the fabric of what made this country great. The members here are sick and tired of politicians of all parties lying, deceiving, stealing, and pretending they are doing it all for the good of the country while selling out to special interests who have the set goal of destroying this country. We have had enough of career politicians who use their office only for personal gain, and who refuse to listen to the people who put them in office. The membership is no longer part of the silent majority who play nice and get along while getting screwed by anyone with a loud voice and an agenda. We will no longer allow anyone to piss down our back and tell us it's raining. And we like guns too.

Default .458 Wilson Combat Arms HAM’R

https://www.wilsoncombat.com/458-hamr/

Got a friend with a fat pocket asking me if these would “hammer” themselves apart. I’ve gone into radically light since ripping my shoulders out so I don’t know.

Anybody have one? Thoughts?

I’ve been told by some women

that bigger isn’t always better...

But they might’ve been trying to

not hurt my feelings...

Oh, you were talking about guns though

Because of the system that delivers it, I'd wager recoil isn't too bad, but that the bullet hits like a hammer.

That’s what I figured. As long as it locks up properly the bolt/barrel extension lug interface should outlast the rifling as well as several sets of rings, extractors, extractor springs, ejectors and ejector springs.

Myself also Bluntforce if I fired that thing I would be on the operating table that day. Total shoulder replacement. I have to stop about 25/06 or so?
That is an artillery piece not a rifle.

The answer is that no one knows. Because I bet they did not test it with 10,000 rounds or even 5, 000 rounds. I would be skeptical the AR based rifle could withstand a lot of uber powerful rounds, but as it's a Fudd caliber with expensive ammo, it won't get shot that much by John Q. Public anyway. I'd rather have a 7.62x51 NATO AR-10 rifle myself.

Yup good point. Unless you live in Alaska with Grizzly bears getting into your garbage or polar bears on your front lawn is that big a round really necessary?
A few well placed rounds of 7.62x51 I would imagine take down anything N. America has walking or crawling around?

The pressures it produces are less then 308. It will probably be just fine. Now if it was chambered in 300 win mag or 338 it might be a different story. It’s basically just the 458 socom on roids.

I'll let everyone else get seduced and grifted by the urgent voice, and the stringed bass providing the "drama".

I'll stick to my FAL's, thank you very much.

If I need something with longer legs? Well... that thing ain't got em. I got a couple bolt guns, that do. Rumor has it that a .338 WinMag hits hard enough to get your attention, especially when you get over 250 grns, regardless of which side of the muzzle you might be standing. And the ammo is pretty easy to find when you run out of the roll-yer-own variety.

If I need a 500 grn bullet? That 500 S&W on my hip works very nicely, thank you. And it did not set me back $3,000, either. You need a 700 grn bullet? Well... best you be sporting some Arnold Schwarxniqqer wrists, but the revolver can handle'em.

Rebated rim brass is against my religion, damned as heresy.

To each, their own.

I have to agree, I’m trying to get my exish girlfriend to sell me her dad’s* M1A so I can have one with a scope and one with irons.

*Her dad doesn’t need anything and hasn’t for a while.
