Welcome to the site where the owners and members have had it with playing "nice" and being "inclusive" and "tolerant" of points of view that are destroying the fabric of what made this country great. The members here are sick and tired of politicians of all parties lying, deceiving, stealing, and pretending they are doing it all for the good of the country while selling out to special interests who have the set goal of destroying this country. We have had enough of career politicians who use their office only for personal gain, and who refuse to listen to the people who put them in office. The membership is no longer part of the silent majority who play nice and get along while getting screwed by anyone with a loud voice and an agenda. We will no longer allow anyone to piss down our back and tell us it's raining. And we like guns too.

Default Trout, at last!

Finally caught my first keepable trout for the season...nice 12" rainbow. Cleaned, vacuum sealed and in my freezer to await some brothers and sisters, until I have enough to smoke 'em.

Cuz smokin' them trout will get you ripped!!!

Good man Oswald. Try putting your cleaned fish in a good plastic seal-able bag or vacuum seal I guess is good?
Cover fish with just enough water and a small pinch of salt. Place upright in your freezer so as to have the fish in a block of ice. Stays fresh as the day yah caught it and no freezer burn.

I used to store them, temporarily, in my belly.

Even if I caught just one.

Vacuum sealing seems to work pretty well at avoiding freezer burn, but the idea of sealing 'em in essentially a block of water is a good one that I hadn't thought of. Thanks 4th!

Should be heading back up to the same spot on Tuesday, so with luck I'll have a few more to clean Tues. night, now that I know what they like.

We freeze fresh caught shrimp in freezer bags filled with water until ready to cook. No freezer burn and they last a long time frozen that way.

Added a 14" rainbow to the freezer tonight. A couple more and it'll be time to smoke 'em all.

LOL!!!

Okay, once I'm gettin' 'em ready for the smoker, I'll snap a pic of the lot of 'em. Frozen vacuum sealed fish aren't really ready for their close up...Mr DeMille.

Twas a beautiful evening for fishin' tonight. With the little woman off on a hen's night with a friend, I took the opportunity to stay out to about 11. Gorgeous full moon rising, making it perfect, though started to get a bit chill...

Nevertheless, two more troutsies added to the freezer tonight. Need to pick up some fresh Dill sprigs when we go grocery shopping tomorrow as I'll be firing up the smoker in the next day or 3.

I'll post some pre- and post-smoked pics after that.
