I'm not very recoil shy but my 4 inch 629 kicks like a mule with full power hand loads.

Back in the day, there was a gun liar, I mean writer, named Bob Shimek. He would always be shooting these 'hand cannons' and have a picture of a 7.5" Blackhawk, 'in full recoil', with Bob looking over his glasses at the end of the barrel pictured as having risen above his forehead. I have a picture of my wife shooting my 4" M29 'in full recoil' and I don't think there's 7 inches of muzzle rise. I'm not saying a person could or should shoot them all day long like it's a .22, But this krap about 'front sight blade wound to the forehead' is . Or a 7 yearold wasn't taught properly. cerberus |
