The imports do not seal very well if at all. The used USGI or Blackhawks are great.

Member on another forum showed a pict. of why their not around much anymore hangfire. Guess the govt. used to store them in a warehouses for possible reuse. Then auction them off?
Now pict. showed they must have given up on that and just backhoe them into piles on big military base lots. Whoops crushed and rusted till they go too the junkyard I guess? |

The steel import ones look like they seal up good. The plastic ones look like they would not seal if you put much inside them.

You're supposed to carry them in your assault wheelbarrow.

The Point Blank indoor shooting range across from me in Ohio has a ton of old GI cans with surface rust sitting on a skid for over a year now. Nobody wants a rusty can. Now they are throwing in a cheap cleaning kit if you buy the can @ $12.99. I'm good. I have 12+ in my gunroom.

When filled I put them back on the steel skid, put the metal top retainer back on, banded them down and used the forklift to move them around. |
