1911 slide
I got a box of parts for a 1911. The slide has a drawing number of 7790314 on the left side. In the back of my mind I think this is a match slide made after WW2. anybody know?

I have seen those for sale at gun shows....they are G.I. replacement slides ...the ones i saw were wrapped in VCI tinfoil paper that had a N.S.N which means they were probably made in the 70's-80's
The older parts (made before the 70's )had a Federal stock number..instead of the National stock number = N.S.N
