The Trump administration is deploying border patrol agents to sanctuary jurisdictions across the U.S. to help Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) track down and detain illegal immigrants freed by left-wing cities and states.

Such agents have gear like stun grenades and typically conduct high-risk operations targeting individuals known to be violent and those with significant criminal records, the Times reported. ICE primarily focuses on illegal immigrants with criminal records, but will not rule out detaining others as “collateral” arrests.

Democratic local officials responded to the push by doubling down on their policies.

Seems like I remember from about 50-60 years ago, there were these states that said FUCK YOU! to federal interference in their home rule / states rights, and school integration was enforced. The federal government and its laws were enforced OVER the resistance of individual states.

I had a friend with the BP who was an investigator and part of an inland arresting task force before they screwed up the organization with the so-called "Patriot Act" and the establishment of "Homeland Security" *spit* (that name still sounds so damned commie it gives me nothing but contempt).

It was after 9/11 he told me how screwed up things were. He said, "Sanders, I just can't even do my job anymore. Even though we were attacked by foreigners, I'm not allowed to arrest them and have them deported, like we used to."

He retired not too long after that.
