Welcome to the site where the owners and members have had it with playing "nice" and being "inclusive" and "tolerant" of points of view that are destroying the fabric of what made this country great. The members here are sick and tired of politicians of all parties lying, deceiving, stealing, and pretending they are doing it all for the good of the country while selling out to special interests who have the set goal of destroying this country. We have had enough of career politicians who use their office only for personal gain, and who refuse to listen to the people who put them in office. The membership is no longer part of the silent majority who play nice and get along while getting screwed by anyone with a loud voice and an agenda. We will no longer allow anyone to piss down our back and tell us it's raining. And we like guns too.

Caught a raccoon last night. This one isn't big enough for a cap, must be a teen.

Polly chased several others into the woods. I hauled this one to critter drop off this morning.

And I still can't believe the local zoo here just bought two of them. I could have given them the ones that use my fence as a highway every night.

I've been seeing lots of tracks in the snow along the creek by the house. Raccoon, opossum, squirrel, some duck, and what I'm guessing is the heron I see from time to time. Doubt that much is being found in the water by whatever's searching there. Most spots are froze solid from the surface to the creek bed.

Sounds like our creek beds. Loaded with tracks.

That's definitely looking like a juvenile. We give ours to the local coon hunters for training their dogs.

There's one living around my shop in Albuquerque. I see its tracks in the mud around the dumpster every now and then.

Had my dogs at work last week, and the Australian Cattle dog found the tracks and went nuts following the scent. The Catahoula-lab mix wasn't even interested.

Ahem.

What is Baylisascaris?

Baylisascaris worms are intestinal parasites found in raccoons. Baylisascaris procyonis is thought to pose the greatest risk to humans because of the often close association of raccoons to human dwellings.

How do people get infected?

People become infected by ingesting infectious eggs. Most infections are in children and others who are more likely to put dirt or animal waste in their mouth by mistake.

What are the symptoms and signs of Baylisascaris infection?

Cute. Looks like the one my buddy found (two actually) and kept as pets.
