No, I'd have to have Viking oars. It's too wide to row.

I do always carry a paddle in it to scoot me around a few feet. But I wouldn't want to have to go very far that way.

You betcha. I'm going to be taking it out a couple of times to make sure it's running right.

Once before I went to Florida with a 16' fishing boat. We were fishing in the Gulf, right outside of Venice, Florida. I had a 25 HP motor on it. I launched it, and it ran fine for about an hour, and then conked out. I was with my dad and brother in law. Luckily, we took a backup motor. It was just a 10 HP, but at least we had propulsion so we could fish.

Bring communication equipment with you. Also lots of drinking water, insect repellent, pistol, rain gear, signaling devices.
I fish the backwaters here on the St. Johns a lot.
Nothing to lite your day up till your outboard quits you out in nowhere.
When that big water moccasin crawls in your boat looking for fish.
Exit stage left rite quick.

Dont shoot him in the boat. We tried that. It dont work.

I finished installing the exterior transom board and fired it up. Dang, it is running smooth now. Probably going to take it out tomorrow and give it a test.
