Sheltering in Place
I’ve been SIP since last Friday...
I can’t take a chance on bringing anything home I’ve been working on a few projects but really need some more material...so I guess that I will have to work on something else... Who else is stuck at home, besides me?... |

We too are SiP but can go to the store to buy groceries, etc.
Kim bought stuff from drive-through Wataburger yesterday evening while I cowered at home, curled up in the fetal position sucking my thumb.

Have been for the better part of two weeks, now. I run my business from home but have seen a real drop off in orders the last week or so. The old lady & I have been doing a lot of Spring clean up both inside the house & outside in the gardens & lawns. Raking, trimming old growth, fertilizing, etc..
I reorganized my closets, office, gun safe, and ammo storage walk-in closet. Have pretty much run out of stuff to do now. My big adventure this afternoon will be to go to the post office to mail a bunch of business mail & some small boxes, & gas up the Jeep. Sh#t is getting old... |

I haven't left the house since about the 10th of March. Well, there was the one time my folks needed me to haul the new O² machine into the house that the medical supply folks dropped off on their sidewalk. I work for the City in the IT dept now, so I am able to work from home. The wife has gone to the store a couple times, but, for the most part, we're hunkered down.

Schools been closed here for 2 weeks already and no sign of going back till end of April they say now. 500 cases in my county already and I expect it not to peak for a couple more weeks since I’m so close to NJ and NY.
Just about every damn restaurant will be going out of business around here if this keeps up, the state is keeping beer stores open so the drunks don’t croak from withdrawal. I’ve been working and wife is day to day schedule now and is basically part-time the last 2 weeks.

Working long hours and a crazy schedule. We're very busy, mixing it up with the general public every day. We're all gonna get it. Just a matter of time.
Wife and our 2 dogs are staying at our wilderness cabin until this thing blows over. She's safe. I finally have a couple days off. My plan: Sleep. Fix up stuff around the house in order to sell it and retire. Sleep. |
