Woodcutting
Stopped by the Ranger station on the way home, the other day to use their toilet (Ranger stations always have clean toilets). They had wood cutting permits for sale at $10/cord. I got permits for 2 cords of dead and down trees.
Went out today to cut my 2 cords, hauling a 5x10 tandem axle trailer with my 3/4 ton Chevy Silverado. One cord on the trailer is 2 ft. high and 3 ft. high in the pickup bed. Came home with just 1/2 a cord. I forgot how much work woodcutting actually is. Didn't help that I was fighting my dang chainsaw(s), either. When they ran, they ran good. Getting them started was the hard part, or re-started after running them out of gas. I'm beat.
