This has been a long time coming - my FAL build that I did last year with some of the NM "Thugs" from the FAL Files.
It's one of Bob's kits on a CAI receiver. When you build with a couple of guys who have put together as many as they have, it goes together pretty fast. It is an Argentinian kit with Rhodesian furniture (you can't see the original paint in the pictures). I left it ugly on purpose. The pics are from a recent trip to the Mexican border, but the site is north of the border on my way home. I took the FAL on this trip in case any Feddies got stupid and wanted to confiscate firearms - I didn't want to lose my M14 clone, and I just don't have faith in the AKM, as I prefer a full power 30 caliber round vs. a half power one. I prefer to engage an enemy at as much distance as I can, preferably out of range of his weapons.

Nice looking weapons all. Sanders, those pictures show one of the reasons I love the desert so. Miles and miles of nothing but miles and miles...
