Welcome to the site where the owners and members have had it with playing "nice" and being "inclusive" and "tolerant" of points of view that are destroying the fabric of what made this country great. The members here are sick and tired of politicians of all parties lying, deceiving, stealing, and pretending they are doing it all for the good of the country while selling out to special interests who have the set goal of destroying this country. We have had enough of career politicians who use their office only for personal gain, and who refuse to listen to the people who put them in office. The membership is no longer part of the silent majority who play nice and get along while getting screwed by anyone with a loud voice and an agenda. We will no longer allow anyone to piss down our back and tell us it's raining. And we like guns too.

Another useless and unnecessary law repealed.

Most switchblade laws were enacted because niqqers & chilishitters always had them when they got busted back in the day.

Knives are sharp and they hurt people. Only chefs who have gone to culinary school and who have been properly trained in their use should be allowed to posses them. That is all God bless.

If that was the case Bourdain would of offed himself with a French chef's knife doing sepuku!

Good deal.

In Indiana we can carry them if we aren't felons. I have several automatic knives. Gov. Mike Pence signed a law that ended a decades-old ban on switchblade knives in Indiana in 2013

Here is the one I carry most of the time. It's a nice little pocket knife.

allows for the possession of a switchblade knife provided it is not “intentionally concealed on one’s person.”
Not sure what to make of this, sounds kind of like a catch-22. If you have it in your pocket you're concealing it and if you carry it around in your hand you could be charged with brandishing a weapon.

Figures. And it is a catch-22.

From all that I have seen, our "concealed Weapons" laws do not cover knives.
I would guess that like most other large knives they will expect you to have it in a belt case or on a clip, and not jammed in your underwear like the brothers in New Orleans will be doing.

The way the law was written was terrible.
If you had an automatic open knife, and you were LEO or fire / rescue, it was considered a rescue knife.
For the rest of us it was a switchblade and illegal

In Florida, CCW covers EVERYTHING. Auto knives, brass knuckles, sap gloves, slapjacks, and plain old knives.
When taking the class, you're cautioned about carrying in other states because a lot of them don't allow for the devices Florida does.

(A) blackjack;
(B) nightstick;
(C) mace;
(D) tomahawk.

Yes, it does. Says it right in the state statute too! ...and it would REALLY be nice if individual municipalities didn't treat auto knives differently than other weapons authorized for carry with a Florida concealed weapons or firearms license! Many municipalities used to each have their own little laws as to where a person could and could not carry firearms with a license, until the Governor told them they could keep their laws and pay a hefty fine compounded daily. ...or come in line with state law. They came in line. How are you supposed to know when you're breaking a law when it changes from one town to the next? This same situation still exists with auto knives, because different municipalities/jurisdictions WILL vary greatly as to how they treat auto knives, even with a concealed weapons or firearms license. So again, how are you supposed to know when you're breaking a law, when there's no consistency statewide? I'm not holding my breath for the "super majority" repukelicken state government or Governor to do anything about this situation. Hell, at this point I'm just hoping they don't pass any more gun control! In the meantime, beware of municipal laws concerning switchblades in Florida and be prepared to spend lawyer money if charged in said municipality. And yes, it's wise to remember that reciprocity from many other states ONLY pertains to firearms and (in many cases) none of the other listed weapons under Florida statute for concealed carry in Florida.
