Almost pulled the trigger on a Heritage Arms .22
I was all set to do it. Gallery of Guns has them on sale, and the out the door price would have been $150 at a local gun shop for the combo .22LR/.22Mag 6.5" bbl.
Then I remembered that my 2001 Dodge pickup needs a new battery and alternator.

I hate it when that happens.
Buds Guns has the .22LR model for $122. And they have a .22LR/.22 Magnum for $154. They have other models with fancy grips and calibers up to $397. That's an great price consider they are made in the US.

I've never heard a bad thing about them. Don't know anyone who owns their centerfire revolvers, though.
My cousin wore out a .22, then bought a new one. I asked him how many rounds it took to wear it out, but he couldn't tell me. He said he shot anywhere from 100-500 rounds a week. He'd stop in the mountains to shoot on his way home, and on his way to work when he was commuting from Silver City to Albuquerque to work for me. Plus, he did a lot of dryfire practice. Nice thing about that hammer block safety is that it keeps you from messing up the firing pin. |

I have a Ruger Single-Six Convertible Single-Action Revolver in .22LR and .22Mag. The .22 Mag is fun to shoot but the ammo is expensive. |

I had a Single Six convertible, but my daughter took it. I did buy it for her birthday, after all. After she finished college, she wanted her guns in her apartment.
I still have a 3-screw Single Six .22 mag, but it belongs to my youngest. Eventually, I know she will want it with her. I talked to Ruger about fitting a .22LR cylinder to it, and they said it would be $60 and they would convert it to hammer transfer bar. I did ask them about what it would do to the collector's value, and what that would do to the pistol. The lady told me they send all the parts back with it, and that I could convert it back if I wanted to. Anyway, that said, I don't have my own .22 single action revolver. |

That's what credit cards were made for. Get it now, pay for it next month.
