Heres where i left it for today......i glued up the countertop and i made a test sample edge....the bottom photo is how the countertop edge will look.

I started on this at about 9:00 this morning.....i sanded the countertop flat and worked through the sandpaper grits until the top was flat and smooth...then i cut the ogee edge profile on a router table, did more sanding and laminated the bullnose section on , glued it with titebond 3 glue which i really like...and clamped the shit out of it........then it was on to distressing the face frames of all the cabinets ...and finally the disassembling of the wine racks to do some puttying of nail holes and sanding.....all in preparation for the stain.....lots of work for one gringo.

No, its a RIDGID contractor saw.....im happy with it but it is just barely adequate for building cabinets.....i wish it had a larger table for wider cuts....it only cuts up to 26".

There would be no way i could put a full 4'x8' sheet of plywood on that little table saw.......that is why i had to buy a festool track saw to break down the sheets into manageable sizes.

I have seen guys build a table around

their saws...if you have the space...

I have two of those old cast iron top

Craftsman table saws...they have held

up pretty well...I wish they were 12"

saws instead of 10" though

I have a 1935 model Craftsman table saw 18" x 24" bed.
Use it for everything.
Also a contractors saw, with a much larger bed and 10" blade.
Hardly ever use the big one though.

Ill bet the craftsman is heavy and will out last both of us......there probably isnt any plastic on it either.

I made a zero clearance insert out of oak for not only the dado blades but for the single blade......it gives a much nicer cut especially in melamine.

Well, i worked on this for about 4 hours this AM.....lots of sanding.......it was a very tedious morning.....now im going out to eat.

bears, i simply copied the design of this from a photo of a small wine cellar i found online........the engineering was drawing it on the 4x8' sheets of cardboard they give you at the lumberyard to protect the delicate sheets of veneer plywood.

Well i spent 9 hours staining all these pieces yesterday....what a kick in the nuts........the fumes this stain gives off left me stoned even though i wore a respirator.
Today i spent 7 hours spraying on the sealer coat on all these pieces.....I shot almost 2 gallons of pre catalyzed quick dry vinyl sealer..i ran out of room for drying racks so i laid 2x4's across garbage cans to give me the space necessary for these to dry.

Tomorrow i use a 320 grit sanding sponge and sand every piece and then apply a black glaze.........its going to be a brutal day as far as hand cramps are concerned.
