My yard is starting to look pretty good
I mowed my grass yesterday for the first time this year.
I still have some spots of scrub grass near my house that I need kill with Roundup and replant with bluegrass. It's supposed to rain again today so I'll have to hold off. My neighbor yard across the street's looks like a battlefield.

My weeds are growing 3-4" a day. I planned on mowing this week after work, but I just can't bring myself to do it in wind with 45mph gusts.
Maybe this evening or tomorrow?

Tree, weed & grass pollen are all still high enough here to not want to get out in it!

I've declared war against grapevines in the woods. Been sawing them every evening. My best estimate is I'll finish in 57.253 years.

That looks great Pogo good work on that lawn.
I don't even want to say how much time and $$ I put into my damn lawn. The weeds thank me every time I go out their. Dang problem here is the grass will grow great but so do the damn weeds. At the point now where if I cut the lawn real short it looks nice and green. Nice green weeds.

Have mowed mine twice this year. Always too damned tall but still mowed it high.
Lot's of 'mowing obstacles' to deal with on this different place. Front yard and back to mow. Doesn't take long with the riding mower but all the weed trimmers are broken. May have to use the big grinder with a string on it. |

I dont like mowing grass... I had to mow all my dads grass on his property with a non power push mower. Every body had a power mower except us .....He never bought a power mower until all us kids moved out.

My yard is way to wet/soft to mow yet. I can tell...that a couple of my yard nazi neighbors are jizzing to mow...but they also can see it is just to damn wet. I expect my grass will be a foot deep before I can mow. I checked the "firmness" of my grounds this morning after the rain quit...
I REALLY need to move my twin axle cargo trailer out of the side yard back onto the blacktop..I had to move it there last fall so a vendor could deliver my new tool shed. There was only one place where the trailer could sit..for days.... the ground was almost to soft then. There is a big dead grass spot under it...I could move it but the F350 would make a muddy mess of that soft shit. I ordered a lawn roller from Tractor Supply this morning to pull behind my Cub Lo-boy as I mow.

I had the same chore. At least it was gasoline powered. Now....I just ride around on my mower picking my nose. Long as I don't drive over dumbshit...it's pretty easy. Been looking at those zero radius turn gizmos. All my next door's have them...They all swear by them. They are all rich people though...
