Welcome to the site where the owners and members have had it with playing "nice" and being "inclusive" and "tolerant" of points of view that are destroying the fabric of what made this country great. The members here are sick and tired of politicians of all parties lying, deceiving, stealing, and pretending they are doing it all for the good of the country while selling out to special interests who have the set goal of destroying this country. We have had enough of career politicians who use their office only for personal gain, and who refuse to listen to the people who put them in office. The membership is no longer part of the silent majority who play nice and get along while getting screwed by anyone with a loud voice and an agenda. We will no longer allow anyone to piss down our back and tell us it's raining. And we like guns too.

A Simply Perfect Roast Turkey

http://allrecipes.com/recipe/56348/a...-roast-turkey/

Turkey is the simplest food item to cook but it absorbs flavors very easily. The best turkey I ever had was my chef buddies "Jack Daniels" roasted turkey.
Flambé "boil out" the alcohol from the JD and lightly baste your roasting turkey with it. Alcohol has to go or it will be bitter. I am using apple cider to brine this years turkey.

Thank yah Sanders.

I will be down at my sister's place in Arizona this year. My brother-in-law has quite an elaborate pit to pit-roast a few birds in the ground at once. He starts them around 3 a.m. and they come out 10 hours later, falling off the bone. We haven't carved a turkey at his place - ever. But, dang it is sure tasty!

I prefer them roasted or deep fried without any secret sauces or spices. If roasted baste the turkey with butter so it will Brown good. Anything additional will detract from the taste of the turkey.

Well, that is the way I like turkey

The best way I've found to cook turkey is on the grill. Crisp skin and nice juicy meat. It's one of the easiest ways to cook one too.

Maybe I'm an anomaly, I don't really like turkey meat anymore.
I'll stick with ham or S pam.

I can't eat turkey or any other bird anymore. Hell, I can't even have chicken broth in anything. I can still grill a good bird, but I can't eat it.

I got a fresh leg of pork I'm making a ham out of. If anybody wants my ham recipe let me know.

Good recipe.
You do not have to cook meat or poultry at a high temp to have it be done. It just hast to be the recommended temperature for safe eating, rare medium or well. The slower you cook it the less shrinkage and the juicer it will be...

I told my wife this year I was willing to deep fry one, Bass Pro has the fryers on sale, but she declined, we're going to my brother-in-law's place across the street, he's good at roasting them. I'll just open the wine bottles!
