Welcome to the site where the owners and members have had it with playing "nice" and being "inclusive" and "tolerant" of points of view that are destroying the fabric of what made this country great. The members here are sick and tired of politicians of all parties lying, deceiving, stealing, and pretending they are doing it all for the good of the country while selling out to special interests who have the set goal of destroying this country. We have had enough of career politicians who use their office only for personal gain, and who refuse to listen to the people who put them in office. The membership is no longer part of the silent majority who play nice and get along while getting screwed by anyone with a loud voice and an agenda. We will no longer allow anyone to piss down our back and tell us it's raining. And we like guns too.

I never noticed that the flat top has a rounded trigger guard, before. Normally, the Super Blackhawk with the 7.5" bbl has
a square-backed, Dragoon style trigger guard, as suggested by Elmer Keith to Bill Ruger.

My 5.5" bbl has the rounded trigger guard.

I have a Smith & Wesson model 629 Mountain Gun. And even with Hogue grips the perceived recoil is harder with it
than my Ruger .44 Magnum Blackhawk Flat Top.

BTW, I took this picture with my new phone. Not too bad. I do need to clean the fingerprints off my gun.

My Flat Top was made to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Ruger flat top .44 Magnum. It's a copy of the original Flat Top except for the 3 screws.

I want my half hour back. That was a futile exercise in mental masturbation. I have taken moose with a .44Mag and try not to use the .357 on anything larger than hawg. A .357 has failed to perform for me against a pitt bull. That was when I 'up-armored' to my beloved StarPD. Even if you load them with same-weight projectiles, to the same velocities, you're not comparing apples to apples. The .44 has almost a 50% greater frontal area than the .357 so terminal ballistics are nowhere close.
The 'Mystic Knight of the Sea' says he thought the man's hands took a thumping. I just don't find the .44 that 'abusive'. And I'm old. He only shot about 20-24 .44 rounds from what I recall. Heck, I shoot bowling-pins with a 4" M-29, and even did one match with my Mountain Gun. My scores went down, but it was a hoot. I shoot 240gr at 1350fps for about a 1/2 ton of energy.
