Welcome to the site where the owners and members have had it with playing "nice" and being "inclusive" and "tolerant" of points of view that are destroying the fabric of what made this country great. The members here are sick and tired of politicians of all parties lying, deceiving, stealing, and pretending they are doing it all for the good of the country while selling out to special interests who have the set goal of destroying this country. We have had enough of career politicians who use their office only for personal gain, and who refuse to listen to the people who put them in office. The membership is no longer part of the silent majority who play nice and get along while getting screwed by anyone with a loud voice and an agenda. We will no longer allow anyone to piss down our back and tell us it's raining. And we like guns too.

It's been raining almost daily up that way.

I still have that bar and chain in my car. I will be in Abq today. If you're going to be around give me a call later this morning and maybe we can meet up.

I was going to call you yesterday as I passed through your area, but time got kind of tight on me.

It is mostly Ponderosa pine.

Sometimes I'll get lucky and find some juniper, oak, or cedar, but not very often.

Is your stove set up for that, or do you have to clean it a lot? We burn all hardwoods, with oak being at the top of the list.

Last year, all I had was pretty much green pine. I had to clean the chimney every 2 weeks. It would take me 15-20 minutes to climb up on the roof, pull the cap off and run the brush down it 4-5 times, then clean the cap with a wire brush. No big deal. In fact, if it was windy, it worked out better because the soot was drawn away from my face.

Or, I could buy hardwoods - oak goes for $240/cord and cedar (not quite a hardwood - call it a harder wood) goes for $180/cord.

I'll just burn pine at $10-$20/cord and my labor and keep the chimney clean.

I keep hoping to get a season or two ahead on my woodcutting, but cutting on Forest Service land keeps getting postponed due to fire danger/rain/drought/whateverotherexcusetheycanthinkoftokeepcitizensout oftheirforest

Ok got ya. We clean our out once a year. I just bought 4 cord of oak for $600 delivered, only because... Well, it doesn't matter.

Yeah... "Their".
