Interesting collection, nutinauniversalshell; would never have considered them myself, but now I've learned something about them today. Thought they were strictly a Russian/Chinese pistol; now I know better.
Thanks for sharing.

Oh I guess I could update this some too.
I no longer have a yugo tok I need to get another. Also, I believe its the polish I also no longer have and they are hard to find now On the other hand, I have many chinese. Skinny and regular mag 9mm versions (actually 2 9mm versions that take the regular mag). And I missed out on getting a chinese in 7.62x25, but now I know that if one comes along for cheap again that I better grab it. Also have a cz52 now too. So the current list is: 1) Russian TT33 2) Hungarian M48 3) Romanian TTC 4) Chinese 213 skinny mag 9mm 5) Chinese 213 blocked 7.62X25 mag for 9mm 6) Chinese 54-1 blocked mag 7) Chinese (triangle 66) blocked mag 8) Chinese 213A double stack 9mm 9) CZ52 I know the ones I need are at least: 1) Russian TT30 (scalloped slide) 2) Tokegypt (Hungarian) 3) Yugo M57 4) Polish 5) Yugo/Serbian M88 6) Chinese 7.62X25 Then the different importers of course. I have a box for the Sportarms skinny mag chinese 9mm but the gun I have is a CAI. Thus far I have CAI, KSI, ACC/Intrac, and Sportarms. Makarovs are just as fun though: 1) Russian IJ70-17AS stainless 380 2) Russian IJ-70 9x18 3) Russian IJ70-18AH double stack 9x18 4) Ernst Thaelmann E. German 9x18 5) Bulgarian (circle 10) 9x18 6) Arsenal (bulgarian) commercial 9x18 7) Hungarian FEG SMC-918 Need russian military, chinese mak, and a few other odd variants. Importers are eben more fun...CAI, DIG, KBI, PW Arms, B West (my favorite for no real reason except I have a chinese drum with the B West import mark and no idea why its on there), and probably many more. I need to take new "family" photos soon |

I know this is an older thread, but that double stack 213 was a hell of a score! Quite uncommon...

I'll let you guys in on little secret. You can shoot 7.63 Mauser ammo in the Toks for plinking. About half the powder charge of the hotter 7.62 x 25 Tokarev rounds. Easier on the gun (and you!), but still cycles the action perfectly. Plus, very few Tok owners know they can do this (until now!) so 7.63 Mauser ammo is always easier to find - because the demand for it is low.

I agree that 7.63 can be fired, and found, but it is also commonly Berdan primed, so once fired, it is scrap. I would prefer to make my own from .223/5.56mm brass, and do. Thats just me though.

Got the Pakistani tok too ;-) plus the yugo 9mm one thats out (its pretty sweet).
Somehow ended up with another nagant revolver I need to research some. Still love Toks, Maks, etc and watching for s few rarer ones, but noone is bringing those into the shop yet. Mainly hunting rifles, shotguns, and "normal" pistols. The oddballs have been stuff I don't have a fondness for so we just stick em out on the shelves. Unfortunately, still waiting for ammo to get back to reasonable prices so I can start shooting my toys again. |
