Welcome to the site where the owners and members have had it with playing "nice" and being "inclusive" and "tolerant" of points of view that are destroying the fabric of what made this country great. The members here are sick and tired of politicians of all parties lying, deceiving, stealing, and pretending they are doing it all for the good of the country while selling out to special interests who have the set goal of destroying this country. We have had enough of career politicians who use their office only for personal gain, and who refuse to listen to the people who put them in office. The membership is no longer part of the silent majority who play nice and get along while getting screwed by anyone with a loud voice and an agenda. We will no longer allow anyone to piss down our back and tell us it's raining. And we like guns too.

Default I installed a short reset trigger kit in my Sig P229

It consists of a modified sear & safety lever.

I also have ordered Wolf reduced power hammer springs for my Sig P229 and Sig P228. That will reduce the trigger pull to about 3 1/2 lbs.

Good work Pogo..
My little 1911 is happy with my new trigger setup. Way better accuracy and control.
I did get one failure to fire with the new system. Wondering if I would need a more powerful firing pin spring? Might have been an old primer on my reloads but this is the first time it did that?

Just the opposite. If you are getting a lot of light strikes or misfires you would need to install a reduced power firing pin spring or go with a slightly heavier hammer spring. I don't like the lighter firing pin spring option though because that might increase the risk of slam firing. The slightly heavier hammer spring is the better option.

In addition, sometimes you might have to install a stronger recoil spring to make up for the lower resistance of the hammer. You only need to do that if the slide is coming back too hard and causing damage.
