I'm cooking some corned beef and cabbage today. I'll throw in a couple of potatoes too.

I am cooking some fresh from the garden collard greens with turnip roots. Also cooking some black eyed peas.
Later we'll have cornbread and ham for me and salmon for my wife.

That sounds great 44044.
I am buying a 6 or 7 pound prime rib roast and cooking it rare. Damn I am tired of going to the chain restaurants and getting a piece of dog meat they call prime rib. Never ever again will I go too Outback Steakhouse. Dog food for high bucks.

I figure if I eat cheap, the first meal of the year,

I agree with you about Outback. It has been a couple of years since I ate there. They don't know the difference between rare and well done. |

Wife fixed the cornbread and black eyed peas and I did the fried taters. Heaven on New Year's day.
