250 lb black bear just snuck up behind me about 20 yds away, in Poconos as I was bent over working at the cabin. Just about shit a brick, pulled out the 9mm from the truck now

.44 Magnum doesn't even feel like enough gun.

Even though old Sam Foster, the last professional bear hunter in Southern Arizona never carried anything more powerful than a .22 magnum to go into bear caves after them black bears.

I knew Sam. Rode his horse in Patagonia, Arizona 4th of July parade. Dang horse went into the bar despite all I could do. Coffee (the horse) had a taste for beer that Sam had given him. Could get him to run across a pasture to us by merely cracking open a can of beer.

Hell that is a weekly occurrence here flashy. They walk right up in my porch ignore me when I tell them to get the frig out of my garbage big ones little ones.

I gots to set up my game cameras their here so much we just kind of ignore them.

Maybe mark those bears with a paintball gun, using different colors, so you can tell who is who.
