Snapped! Hunters catch and kill 15ft, 800lb alligator that was eating cows on their farm
"Hunters have caught and killed a 15ft alligator that was eating cows."
The 800lb creature was fatally shot in Okeechobee, Florida, on Saturday after terrorizing the cattle on a farm. Lee Lightsey, the owner of Outwest Farms in Okeechobee, and hunting guide, Blake Godwin, discovered the enormous animal in their cattle ponds on April 2. Pretty dang close Bears but I don't think it is. Florida, Louisiana and Georgia keep fighting back and for the record. My boat I fish in here is 15 ft. and when one of these guys pulls alongside yah it gets yer attention.

Holy snikeys,,thats a big mofo,I was watching Swamp People awhile back and Troy went to Florida to help a friend catch some gators and a ranch,,I think they may have got a 12 or 13 footer.

My understanding is that being killed is about the only REAL limitation on the size a gator can grow to if there is vittles aplenty...

There's a joint outside of Tampa called The Skipper's, at least there used to be. My BIL down there has taken me there in the past for beers & eats. Big beer garden which features live music and is known for their seafood. One of the house specialties is fried gator tail...I really liked it. Tastes like chicken with a slight fish/seafood flavor. Washed down with ice-cold beer, pretty damn good.
