Welcome to the site where the owners and members have had it with playing "nice" and being "inclusive" and "tolerant" of points of view that are destroying the fabric of what made this country great. The members here are sick and tired of politicians of all parties lying, deceiving, stealing, and pretending they are doing it all for the good of the country while selling out to special interests who have the set goal of destroying this country. We have had enough of career politicians who use their office only for personal gain, and who refuse to listen to the people who put them in office. The membership is no longer part of the silent majority who play nice and get along while getting screwed by anyone with a loud voice and an agenda. We will no longer allow anyone to piss down our back and tell us it's raining. And we like guns too.

Bart Looking at a battery powered chainsaw for backroad travels and camping

After running into several downed trees last weekend when the wife and I went for a drive up in the mountains (our "drive" was a forest road only accessible by 4-wheel drive), I figured it would be pretty useful to start carrying a chainsaw. My Stihl is too big to drag around, and I'd have to carry gas and oil with it. I'd seen that different manufacturers are making battery-powered chainsaws now.

With a battery chainsaw, all you need to carry is bar oil. I could recharge the battery using an inverter on the vehicle's 12v system, but only if it is a hella big tree. Usually, I can just hook my winch up to an end and drag the tree out of the road, if I can't get around it. I also carry an axe and a small bow saw.

To make a long story short, I found DeWalt makes something that fits my requirements: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...k_ql_qh_dp_hza

Now this is for my traveling and camping only, not for serious wood cutting duties. But, I did have a question about something else. I believe it was after that shooting in Florida that CNN or USA Today ran a graphic of the AR-15, and showed that you could mount a chainsaw bayonet on one. It was apparent they stole the graphic off someone's parody site, but their editors didn't catch the silliness and they ran with it. So, I asked my question:
