Welcome to the site where the owners and members have had it with playing "nice" and being "inclusive" and "tolerant" of points of view that are destroying the fabric of what made this country great. The members here are sick and tired of politicians of all parties lying, deceiving, stealing, and pretending they are doing it all for the good of the country while selling out to special interests who have the set goal of destroying this country. We have had enough of career politicians who use their office only for personal gain, and who refuse to listen to the people who put them in office. The membership is no longer part of the silent majority who play nice and get along while getting screwed by anyone with a loud voice and an agenda. We will no longer allow anyone to piss down our back and tell us it's raining. And we like guns too.

Default New whetstone

I can shave with most of the blades in the house now, the Tiny Damascus deer knife is always surgically sharp, but I was impressed with how well my new $15 Mora knife got keen edged.

Stones are almost a thing ofv the past IMHO. At work & home I have a diamond steel & a steel one. The both steels will do what a set of stones will with less hassle.

Once you get your knife sharp it doesn't take much to keep it that way.

I have a Tormek T-7 water cooled sharpener for my planer and jointer blades. It's also good for chisels and scissors and knives.

I have a couple of Arkansas stones that I use to touch up my knife blades. Just a couple of passes on each side and the blade is razor sharp again. The bottom one is super fine.

In hunting camp and you forgot your knife sharpener? If you have a piece of glass, top of your side truck window or a ceramic coffee cup? They make great emergency knife sharpeners.
As good as a stone or steel? Nope but they will sharpen enough to skin a deer.
