Welcome to the site where the owners and members have had it with playing "nice" and being "inclusive" and "tolerant" of points of view that are destroying the fabric of what made this country great. The members here are sick and tired of politicians of all parties lying, deceiving, stealing, and pretending they are doing it all for the good of the country while selling out to special interests who have the set goal of destroying this country. We have had enough of career politicians who use their office only for personal gain, and who refuse to listen to the people who put them in office. The membership is no longer part of the silent majority who play nice and get along while getting screwed by anyone with a loud voice and an agenda. We will no longer allow anyone to piss down our back and tell us it's raining. And we like guns too.

Flashing Arrow Shotgun adaptors

anyone tried the rifled 45 acp adaptor ?
I have a beater Topper 48 an order the Short Lane Bugout.
I'm thinking if you used light loads it would'nt be noisy.
maybe you could put a rubber crutch tip on the end of the barrel with a X cut in it. So what do you think ?
I forgot how bad those single barrels kick and got the barrel latch bite right in the web of my hand.
Boo-hoo huh ?

My "Handi Rifle" will bite you the same way.
I have a 20 ga. bbl, and a .22 Rem. Jet bbl for it.

Question

Joe what is the .45 adapter? I like anything .45, but I am not sure what you are asking about?

It is a barrel insert, for .45 ammo.

No personal experience, but have read a number of reports.

Two kinds of adapters it seems, short, chamber only, and longer (16-18: IIRC.

Chamber is so-so iffy accuracy, lt 50 yard accuracy at best. More like 30-35 yards.

The ones with the actual barrel use a rubber washer/plug to keep the rifled or smooth bbl centered, accuracy is bettern until you disassemble it and re assemble, then afjustments for centering start all over again,

Procedure is insert cartridge into adapter, insert adapter into chamber/barrel. Fire, remove adapter ( of chamber only) poke out spent case and repeat.

The adapters with an actual bbl run around $200.

Personally ... not for me.

But YMMV!

Regards,
...

Better to tailor your own shotgun shells with slugs, like soft round ball or Mini.

I reload my own 0000 buck shotshells.I got the adaptor [$50.00] because I find alot of .45 brass out in the desert.I have @ 1ooo already loaded with nothing to shoot them in. i'd like another gun but I have plenty now. the problem I have with so many guns is I never master one in particular.Shooting lead bullets is dirty and I get tired of the heavy duty cleaning all the time. I should call my Hipoint 995 "Galena",its never ate anything but lead reloads but holy shit it gets dirty. this adaptor should be a breeze to clean up.

Interesting thank yall. But I kind of go with 5knives and Bears. Cost versus necessity.
I have to look them up, maybe in a survival situation or lots of brass and not wanting to buy another weapon maybe?

Attached video with the video Joe put up highly recommends using them in a single shot shotgun only.
Video shows his Mossberg pump busting a spring with the insert.

ya, they're only for singles or o/u,side by sides.
Another thing which I will be testing is when yer brass gets old is loading the cases with pyrodex to a longer OAL then you could normally.Whatever the chamber will accomdate. Its somethin g new to play with anyhow. If a 45 case holds @27 grains to the brim, maybe you could squeeze in 25 grs of pyrodex.
A 45/25. which is probably more than you could squeeze in a 1858 with a conical bullet. i recently got a Colt Walker and extra cylinder [uberti].
I shot a few cylinders,cleaned it and put it away.shot 18' high.
Just too much of a pain in the ass,too quirky. i got into a BP kick for awhile but think its out of my system after getting 7 guns. shit
