A doberman almost got shot
I was hiking with my dog on a mountain near my house. I had my dog on a leash. I like to keep her on a leash so that she does not get distracted smelling stuff.
A doberman and owner were on the trail ahead of me. At one point I heard him shoutin at his dog. Later, the doberman owner stopped and his dog was off leash. As I proceeded up the trail and got close, the doberman growled and ran left to right, trying to flank me. My dog was on leash behind me. I faced the dog, held my arms wide and yelled, "Hey." The doberman owner was yelling at his dog. The doberman ran left to right and vice versa, growling and looking for an opening. It got within 6 feet of me, but I still had my "look big" posture and shouted again. The doberman retreated, then came straight forward growling. I put my hand on my Glock in holster, ready to use force if necessary. The doberman owner, who had been shouting, finally got ahold of his dog and apologized. I proceeded up the trail. The doberman and owner left. I think the doberman was testing the waters and would have come right up to land a bite after one or two more charges. Fortunately I was not forced to shoot the guy's dog. On that same trail a few years ago I punched an aggressive pit bull in the head. It backed off and would not get close. I told the owner she better get that dog under control or someone would shoot it. Although I hike that trail three times a week, I have not seen her or the pit bull again.

Our best ever girl was coyote, wolf, and something else.
Most protective girl you would ever want on your side. She passed waiting for us to come up the driveway She had a pet miniature rabbit that was her baby. She got me all wrapped up into her wanting to be a mamma. |

When I was a kid, my Dad killed a doberman that had chewed through the rabbit wire of our rabbit hutch and was killing our rabbits.
It was roughly a 50 yard shot and he used all he had at hand at the time - #6 bird shot in a .410 shotgun. The doberman fell over dead from one shot. Later in life, it would take me two shots with that gun to kill jackrabbits at 25 yards. I don't know how that doberman went down with one shot at that distance.

I got bit in the calf by a little lap dog as I approached a job site. I called the homeowner asking her to come out and remove her dog's fangs from my calf. She acted surprised that her fluffy little adorable fuck faced dog would do such a thing.
I warned her that if that dog ever get's closer than 3 feet, I'll put a pill in his brain. Never had a problem with that little fur ball again. the homeowner apparently took my threat seriously. |

When I was a kid I found a young doberman, he ended up being my brothers dog. We named him Fred. He got up to 90+ lbs. He wouldn't hurt a flee, a big goofy, friendly dog, and was freindly to other dogs. But his bark was loud. My mom loved that dog too and she liked to take him for walks
I always thought it was funny that people are scared of Dobies. All the other Dobies Ive been around were nice friendly dogs, not mean or aggressive at all

A kid in my high school had a dobie. His dad was dead and he had a paranoid single mom. The mom made the dobie aggressive. And she made it wear a muzzle. The dobie would press the muzzle against people's legs and try to bite their skin with his small front teeth. He would do that with his owners present. Piece of shit dog.
