How Did This Border Patrol Agent’s Gun Snap in Half?
http://www.theblaze.com/stories/how-...-snap-in-half/
The sacrifice made going for a lightweight sidearm. Obviously won't hold up like a 1911 if you run out of ammo and have to use it as a club. Quote:

CBS
Collapsible Baton System Looks Like When Goofy There Fell Off Of The ATV, During The Tumble, His Baton, Which Was Near His Holster, Either Got Caught In The Trigger Guard, Or Wedged Between The Pistol And Either His Body, Or The Ground, And Caused A Shearing Lever Situation, Which Broke The Composite Frame At It's Weakest Point. |

The baton could not have gotten caught in the trigger guard, since that holster covers the trigger guard.
However, it does appear that the "CBS" acted as a lever against the grip when he hit the ground.

Nothing a little glue and duct tape won't fix.

Yep, Super Glue or Duct Tape, solves all problems.
Unless you have some baling wire or horse shoe nails. |
