Welcome to the site where the owners and members have had it with playing "nice" and being "inclusive" and "tolerant" of points of view that are destroying the fabric of what made this country great. The members here are sick and tired of politicians of all parties lying, deceiving, stealing, and pretending they are doing it all for the good of the country while selling out to special interests who have the set goal of destroying this country. We have had enough of career politicians who use their office only for personal gain, and who refuse to listen to the people who put them in office. The membership is no longer part of the silent majority who play nice and get along while getting screwed by anyone with a loud voice and an agenda. We will no longer allow anyone to piss down our back and tell us it's raining. And we like guns too.

Default Wanted --M3 knife with M8 scabbard

Friend of mine is in bad shape and wants to be buried with his Dads M3 knife and hard scabbard that his Dad carried in the Devils Brigade. He has cancer and the docs have given him 6 months.

His wife and older son contacted me to see if I could find one as his was stolen by his younger son and sold on the street for drugs. I could give them the one I have in my collection but it was carried by my Uncle in WW2 and I would like to keep it. I could buy a repro but thought someone might have one lying around that they had no sentimental attachment with and would be willing to sell at a reasonable price.

Thanks
Dave

Sorry, I do not have one.

They are costly.

Well I gave them mine today and I will find a replacement somewhere.

Would like to get an older one but will probably have to settle for a repro.

Agreed. It's not the same as one carried by a family member. But it is a beautiful knife.

This is my old bayonet for my M1. I've had it for a long time.

I've read that the fighting knife was issued to soldiers who didn't carry a rifle w/bayonet.

That Boker looks real nice.

Is the second pic a carbine bayonet?

No, it's a M5 Bayonet for a M1 Garand. It was designed for the cold weather in Korea. You can remove it while wearing gloves.

But it wasn't issued until 1953 (after the war). It was issued to US troops that were garrisoned at all of the bases in South Korea after the signing of the armistice in Panmunjom.

I have one just like that, Pogo...it's in a box somewhere... NOW, I know what it is and what it will fit.
