Welcome to the site where the owners and members have had it with playing "nice" and being "inclusive" and "tolerant" of points of view that are destroying the fabric of what made this country great. The members here are sick and tired of politicians of all parties lying, deceiving, stealing, and pretending they are doing it all for the good of the country while selling out to special interests who have the set goal of destroying this country. We have had enough of career politicians who use their office only for personal gain, and who refuse to listen to the people who put them in office. The membership is no longer part of the silent majority who play nice and get along while getting screwed by anyone with a loud voice and an agenda. We will no longer allow anyone to piss down our back and tell us it's raining. And we like guns too.

Default Video: Glock Versus Hi-Point? A Showdown You Didn’t Know You Wanted

Quote:
Glocks and Hi-Points are guns with very different price points, to say the least.

Glocks are considered solid, reliable guns. They’re considered by many to be the best bang for your buck (no pun intended) in the gun industry. They’re not as expensive as many comparable-quality brands, after all. Frankly, if someone wants a fast and dirty brand recommendation, many of us–myself included–will say, Glock.

Hi-Point is…well, it’s Hi-Point. They’re ugly, heavy, and cheap. They’re the preferred gun of the guy who decides to buy a gun but only looks at the price on the tag and little else. For some gun folks, owning a Hi-Point as anything other than a lark is evidence of just not knowing any better.

However, The Firearm Blog put the Hi-Point C9 up against the Glock 17 for the showdown you probably didn’t know you wanted.

The head-to-head is interesting.

I had to look up the specs. They are a blowback design. I'd refuse to buy one for that reason alone. And to disassemble them you have to have a punch and a hammer.

They look like they were designed by a Somalian high on khat who doesn't understand the meaning of ergonomics.

I haven't shot one, myself. Those I do know who own them, have nothing bad to say about them, aside from them having the ergonomics of a brick.

Probably the finest handgun ever made except its bulky, top heavy and fugly. It's certainly not for concealed carry (or even open carry because people will snicker at you if they see it) but for someone on a budget who wants a reliable home protection pistol its a very good choice.

out of the box i had a 45 model that i ran 300 of the shittiest/hottest reloads of mine through without one single failure.

they serve their purpose, they're a budget handgun for working people . Not everyone can blow $500-800 on a pistol .

My PPK/S is a blowback, extremely accurate and it even has a hammer!
