With the cold water here in North Florida our Snook are dying. Floating dead or just sitting there too be netted.
Pick up a dying one, bring it in. $500 for each fish and loss of boat and fishing gear. Hell they may even take the old lady.

Yeah, I've used small bluegill for catfish. Great catfish bait. So are sparrows. Just use a mouse trap with pieces of bread in them. Occasionally you will catch a starling or a grackle. They are good bait too.

Well, they can, and I have been checked....was about 6 miles offshore, heading in and we stopped to get another refreshment and putting things away.

The smaller varieties of this specimen (and others) are known around here as 'filet and release'. A little grill w/1 lb. propane tank, butter, a small pan, bread and lemon, and you're all set!
