A picture for 75Stingray and his daughter...
Here is a new place for you to take her surfing. Lake Superior.
Very cold water. I suppose you would need a wet suit. Six foot waves that day. I took that picture from the dunes on the other side of the Two Hearted River at the point it was flowing into Lake Superior. So the waves in the picture doesn't appear as big as they are. The distance of the lake from the river at that point was about 150 yards.

Nice pic.....the worst under tow I ever got caught in was up there.

Funny that I was reading somewhere just this wkend that there are surfing clubs up that way. Boy I bet that waters cold!!!!!!

With the only side notes being the cold and currents I bet that those guys haven't a worry in the world. The water dwelling wildlife down here can take you whole. |

The Fitzgerald went down offshore not too far from that area at Whitefish Point.
That is where the Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum is located. We rode our ATVs up there last year. |
