Welcome to the site where the owners and members have had it with playing "nice" and being "inclusive" and "tolerant" of points of view that are destroying the fabric of what made this country great. The members here are sick and tired of politicians of all parties lying, deceiving, stealing, and pretending they are doing it all for the good of the country while selling out to special interests who have the set goal of destroying this country. We have had enough of career politicians who use their office only for personal gain, and who refuse to listen to the people who put them in office. The membership is no longer part of the silent majority who play nice and get along while getting screwed by anyone with a loud voice and an agenda. We will no longer allow anyone to piss down our back and tell us it's raining. And we like guns too.

Default I just started my seed bed for Fall broccoli

The Spring broccoli isn't usually all that successful. The weather here gets hot too fast and the broccoli is rangy and develops seed heads.

I like broccoli.

The broccoli is starting to come up. I'll take a picture of it in a day or so.

When my youngest daughter lived at home we would cook grilled cheese and (steamed) broccoli sandwiches. They are really good.

I harvested some broccoli this spring from a fall planting.

Default My broccoli farm.......

...is coming right along. I've started thinning the plants out. I plan on having about 8 plants or so when it is time to move them to my garden. I'll probably move the plants to my garden at the end of this month.

My tree farm is doing good. I transplanted a bunch of my chestnut trees over the weekend. I'll plant the butternuts in the fall when they get a little bigger.

Is that the new miniature broccoli, that you add water to, and it instantly becomes full sized?

Here's my broccoli farm - the sprinkler is in the middle of it. I had to put it on a bucket because the broccoli was blocking the water from the 'maters and chile peppers. My lettuce is to the right of the broccoli.

Nothing in my garden was doing very well - just staying alive, but not really growing while being watered with the city water. One rainstorm made the lettuce and broccoli grow like weeds. And it made the weeds grow like weeds.

My corn (not in the picture) is not even 3 ft. high and is already tasseling out. I guess my soil must be missing something.

we've been eating corn and tomatoes from the garden for the past three days. picked a bunch of peppers to give away. seems like things are a few weeks behind this year. cucumbers are not near where they should be by now. watermellons are doing well as are the cantelope.
i'm convinced soaker hoses are the bomb. i use very little fertilizer. mostly only when i place the plants.

Working the ground for a fall garden to start planing in the next few weeks. Not sure what will make it to the ground yet. Have you been to www.almanac.com? it is The farmers almanac. You can put in your ZIP code and it will tell you the dates and plants to plant.

Default I just got done leaning on a shovel...

I dug up about a 4' x 6' area for my broccoli. Now I've got to bust up the clods and use my roto tiller on it.

And I'll be planting my broccoli in it when I'm done.
