I just pray that as she looks back on her life and knows that her Daddy did the best that he could for her when he was alive. If its the last thing that I do, it'll be that she will never have to want for anything. And will know in her heart that she can do anything that she puts her mind to. (if I were to had a boy, all I would have had to do is buy shoes)

In the meantime I'll teach her more than the average man, and then when the average slacker comes calling she'll run him off before I have to step in!

Ya know Stingray, daughters are like that. I have three and ya, you tend to watch over your little girl more than your boy's. And all it take's is a "Daddy, I love you" to melt your heart.

I like 4x4 type offroading, scuba diving, rappelling, rock climbing(though I can pretty much only do the indoors stuff), motorcycles (on and off road), working on cars, and maybe a little hunting.

Want to try skydiving, kayaking, deep sea fishing, and flying an untralight.

Dads like you, 63DH8, BigD, Aviator and others are the type of person whom prospective Daddies should model themselves after.
Of all the threads that catch my interest more than any other are the ones of all of you guys families.

We need to have a big

off shore deep sea fishing trip, families included.
If anyone here would like to do something like this just let me know. I'd be more than happy to set it up!

I'd love too. But getting a time when most of us could be there would be difficult. But you come up with a date, I'll darn sure try. Realize however, last time I was out I did get seasick.

biggest problem i would have is affording it. of course it woudl be fun, but seting up a good time would be a pain.

What do you do?

I like to spend time outdoors with my dogs. If I had more time (and money), I'd like to get into wood working / carpentry. 2 years ago I built 2 decks, one 8x8 for the hot tub and one 18x18 for entertaining. I love building stuff like that. I'd really like to build myself a small cabin in the woods somewhere along the Mississippi River or in a remote area of Wyoming or Montana, so I've kinda been planning for that.

During warmer weather, I like to grill, sit by a small fire or just putz around doing small tasks.

I have a personal vendeta against these damn gophers that invade my yard every spring, so on Saturday and Sunday mornings, I like to sit on the front porch with my scoped .22LR and practice 'varmint eradication'.

This winter, I started putting corn out for the deer and pheasants. They're pretty cool to watch.

Haven't done as much hunting (deer & pheasant) as I used to, but I plan to change that this year. No, I won't be shooting the ones that come into the yard.

I spend a lot of time online researching Military History from 1860 to the present. I'm especially intrigued with Missile Silos and ICBM's and the Armored and Artillery weapons.

Lately, I've been getting more and more interested in 'survivalism' and individual military type weapons and wanting to buy several more for my personal use and for when SHTF.

Unfortunately, the need to work and earn an income constantly interrupts my hobbies / addictions.

I used to do a lot of things outdoors but now I have three kids so most of my free time is of the honey do type. I do like to hunt, fish, kayak, and when finances permit fly. I also used to scuba dive but I have not done that in years.

hard rock 4 wheeling, trying to get as far away from it all as i can.

have not for a time but getting "lost" up in the high sierra for a week or two,
just me and a dog or two, plus a couple guns and ammo for fun and "other:,

no time or money now.
