I grabbed a like new KelTec P-11 from a pawn shop for $175. It will take S&W series 59 magazines.

Revolvers and other: 6, 7, or 8 shot pistols are obsolete. Nobody loves a nice revolver more than I do; but I ain't stupid enough to EDC one for self-defense.

A couple decades past...
Was doing a photo shoot on a beach... Half a dozen Mexicans sauntered up and announced that they were going to beat me to oblivion, take my "puta", and gang rape her for their pleasure, and take their time. I waved the model behind me, and in the same motion, brought the ParaOrdnance P14/45 out from under my vest, where it resides on my hip. Only quietly said two words... Not today. I let the muzzle do the rest of the talking. There was no "language barrier". They got the message... and un-assed in a hurry. 14+1... and at that time two more 14 round magazines on the weak side hip. Now I carry four magazines - it better balances the belt so that I do not walk with a list. Have been in a few other moments with the beaners and the niqqrz over the years... Six or eight to one is not the time for a revolver. I carried an M29 or M629 for a decade... then went back to a 1911 pattern pistol, for cause. |

Excellent Sanders! You're walking proof why no one should carry a single stack 9 MM. I consider the 12 shot Glock 26 the absolute minimum for ammunition capacity. And even that with at least 2 extra magazines. If you have a problem concealing these small double stack handguns, you need a different wardrobe, not a different handgun that holds less ammo.

I think I'll keep carrying my five shooter, concealed, to protect the 15 shooter
that will be belted and on my hip. No way is some idiot going to be able to yank out the Ruger from that holster. If/when they attempt it I hope I'll have the opportunity to limber that little .44. |

COOL!
Love my 1911, but my Canik TP 9 with two extra 17 round magazines of 115 grain JHP is very comforting, too.
