Welcome to the site where the owners and members have had it with playing "nice" and being "inclusive" and "tolerant" of points of view that are destroying the fabric of what made this country great. The members here are sick and tired of politicians of all parties lying, deceiving, stealing, and pretending they are doing it all for the good of the country while selling out to special interests who have the set goal of destroying this country. We have had enough of career politicians who use their office only for personal gain, and who refuse to listen to the people who put them in office. The membership is no longer part of the silent majority who play nice and get along while getting screwed by anyone with a loud voice and an agenda. We will no longer allow anyone to piss down our back and tell us it's raining. And we like guns too.

Is that the only part needed to turn a series 80 into a series 70?
It's all you need. It fills the slot that the two little levers used to be. Normal thickness is .052, But I took my levers out and miked them to be sure. Brownells sells different thicknesses.

Tested my two 1911's I changed today. Flawless. Smoother trigger. Hint: a little dab of grease on the inside of the shim helps keep it in place when you're putting in the dis connector & sear. Less crap to go wrong. GMB didn't design it that way. The arched hammer housing fixed shooting low, as was it was designed in the 1911A1. I'm happy happy.

I liked the feel and thinness of the S&W, might get one. Im going to go handle them again after thinking about it
The Shield was too small for my hands. So I gave it to my Son. I like the way the full size M&P C.O.R.E. fits my hand.

I just got it put back together today. I was waiting on a part. I took it out and fired it. It felt great. Too muddy to get to the target to do much shooting.

It went from a raspy 6 1/2 lbs trigger pull to crisp pull of a little over 3 lbs. Absolutely no take up and has a short reset.

Ooops... seems that there were a couple of stupid little lever thing-a-ma-bobs that went missing when this one went back together. Trigger certainly releases in a much smoother, crisper and lighter manner, though...
