Pedersoli Howdah in .45/.410
https://www.davide-pedersoli.com/sch...li-howdah.html
When I think of a Howdah pistol I think hunting tiger from elephants. When I think Auto Burglar I think sawed off 20 or 28 gauge. This is neither. It's just another if you build it someone will buy them. Mares leg & Judge pistol comes to mind. |

From Taylor's & Company, this Howdah goes for $1350 Yea, right. A REAL howdah is usually over .500, and usually not shotguns. I had a local 'smith shorten a rabbit-eared 20ga Lupara as an homage to Johnny Yuma.
As for the Judge, I can only see it's utility in snake infested country. Now the Mare's Leg, that is a creation or recreation for those of us with fond memories of Josh Randall. Like me. However, I can hit better with a 4 3/4" 44mag Blackhawk than I can with a Mare's Leg, so I don't think I'll be putting out that kind of money for a Chiappa, Rossi, or Henry made model any time soon. cerberus |
