Welcome to the site where the owners and members have had it with playing "nice" and being "inclusive" and "tolerant" of points of view that are destroying the fabric of what made this country great. The members here are sick and tired of politicians of all parties lying, deceiving, stealing, and pretending they are doing it all for the good of the country while selling out to special interests who have the set goal of destroying this country. We have had enough of career politicians who use their office only for personal gain, and who refuse to listen to the people who put them in office. The membership is no longer part of the silent majority who play nice and get along while getting screwed by anyone with a loud voice and an agenda. We will no longer allow anyone to piss down our back and tell us it's raining. And we like guns too.

In the unlikely event I get a CCW in Maryland,

... it would be just perfect for carry.

Mainly its just for coolness.

Was it as good as pictured? Where did they slap the import marks?

Congrats on your first C&R purchase. I hope that you enjoy it.

Be careful, buying surplus firearms can be addicting.

Remember that's 9mm Mak or as James Bond calls it 9mm short.

OK, staying in the same caliber, your list should include PA63, EG MAK, Russian MAK, (forget the others) and the creme de creme, CZ 82.

To add to Karl's list although not C&R eligible the Bulgarian Mak uses the same ammo.

I purchased the gun, but it hasn't actually arrived. By purchase I mean with the credit card. I'd like to get the CZ-52 pistol, possibly the rifle as well. I wonder if the rifle uses the AK round or something else. I've heard it told both ways.

The rifle is the VZ-52 and no it doesn't use the same round as the AKM or SKS. It's 7.62x45, a unique Czech round that's not produced commercially and not to available surplus wise either unless you're willing to pay through the nose for it. Very corrosive as well.

I lack an E. German Mak and a Chicom one as well. Got the other cases covered though.

Got my P-64 a few years ago from Dan's for something like $129, minty new. Import marked under the frame in front of the trigger guard. For me, import marking is what makes or breaks a deal. I refuse to buy anything with a billboard on it no matter how rare or collectible.

There were some converted to 7.62x39 by the Czechs. How practical is the conversion?

Did the Czech's do the conversions or was that a Century Arms change? I know Century has rechambered several rifles in the past. Some of the Enfield .410 muskets were altered to handle US 3 inch shot shells and some MAS 49/56 rifles were made to use .308 verses the French 7.5

7.62x39 Czecks are tough to find. Right up there with scoring a deal on a Rashid.
