Had my eye on these yesterday at the gun shop...
Its a tactical shotgun made by Charles Daly,
I remember this company was making 1911A1's in several styles and there was a mixed bag of reviews on them. Many reviews were positive.I did some research on the shotgun. They are made in turkey.Lot of shotguns seem to be imported from there as of late.I took a good look at it and the finish on them is nice.Excellent ghost ring sights with a fiber optic front.Best sights I ever seen on a shotgun. The design reminds me a lot of a Benelli.I just could never bring myself to pay upwards of $800-$1000 for a Benelli M1 or a Franchi that would sit in a corner most of the time and mainly be used for home defense. Did some looking online and one guy has 200 or so rounds through with no issues. They sell a pump and a semi-automatic.Pump goes for $283-$333($333 with rail and breaching choke) and the semi retails for about $560.I'm interested in the pump with rail. For the price I think I'm going to get one.

Is that shotgun on any one else's patent?
Or is it indigenous to that particular manufacturer? Just thinking about future parts acquisition. ?? |

Ya I thought about parts to if something breaks. Its got a lifetime warranty.I have read they have some parts internally that are similar an 870.I have not heard of any interchangeability.

I was attracted by the tactical model because of the included ghost rings and other features. When you buy an 870 you do not get ghost rings with it.You have to send them off for work and that's a lot more expensive. If this brand is reliable I think it fits the bill. |

Well, it's no big deal to make one.
Just needs a little incentive. I really like that feature, on pump guns. |

About two years ago I bought my wife a Charles Daly O/U in 20 gauge, the gun store told me that I got one of the last ones made in Italy and the next ones would be made in Turkey. Looks like they told me the truth.

I have scoured the net for info.Have not found any negative reviews.Even their sportsman line of shotguns got good reviews.Shotguns imported by CZ are made in Turkey and they are said to be good quality.Stoeger and H&R are also importing Turkish firearms. Some of the coach guns used in cowboy action shooting are also made there. It all depends on the quality and reliability an so far I have seen nothing negative.I'm not backing up the Turks here as Ive never owned anything from them except an old beat up Turkish Mauser. The lifetime warranty is attractive if anything goes wrong. |

I thought, and I don't know where I got the information, that Charles Daly shotguns were made in China now???

I have a Turkish 12 gauge pump.
I've been very pleased with it,its called a TriStar cobra, and is quite well made. (it even has a chromed barrel and chamber) http://www.tristarsportingarms.com/product_cobra.html Mine has an ATI stock on it like this- Which took some custom fitting but has made it into a pretty cool piece. I think that Charles Daly pump looks pretty fuckin sweet. Yep-nothing like having a good shotgun for when the zombies start hoarding...... |

Trap, while I prefer L-shaped, linener (sp?, spell checker don't know either) will work in a pinch. Also known as an ambush.
