Got my K-31
I got my Swiss rifle on Saturday at the gun show in Spartanburg.
Was anybody else there? Anyway, it was $180. Overpriced I know, but once I ordered it and paid for the transfer fee and shipping, it wouldn't have been that much different. I really need a C and R license! Got another year to wait before I'm old enough, though.

GL, good for you! That is not a bad price to pay at a gun show. Did you check under the butt plate to see if there is a tag from the former (Swiss) owner?
BTW, you know the rules......you have to post pics of it if possible. |

Me Cimmaron and my cousin are going to each get one once my cousin gets paid. Either that or me and Cimmaron are going to get one from AIM.

I've had my K-31 for a couple of years now, but haven't gotten around to shooting it yet. There's always tomorrow....

Here's some pics of my 1942 K-31 and tag. It has a walnut stock. I bought it from AIM last month. It came with an original sling and muzzle cap (which I had to pay extra for).
I hope to get it to the range soon. If Ptannjr and I can get our schedules in sync, we can shoot some of my 33 cents a round and some of his $1.00 a round ammo! |

P0G0, your K-31 looks much better than mine. However, the blue on my is almost like new and the bore is perfect.
I'd like to hear about your shoot with the Carcano. Maybe it is time for a Carcano thread? |

I got my Carcano last fall at a Gun show in Indy. My Carcano is kind of a rare one. It's a paratroopers model with a folding bayonet. I got a real steal on it when I bought it. And ptannjr, I just never got around to getting cartridges and shooting it yet. I bought some cartridges in January for the MAS and K-31. I'll shoot them soon. They ain't a going anywhere. |
