Need recommendation.
Or ideas as to where I can find a set of screws for a Ruger Super Black Hawk .44 mag.
I have this "gun" that was taken apart, screws lost, buried and corroded (don't know why and I don't care) it does have a serial. Used to belong to the father of a good friend of my son, the old man passed away so the son recovered it, my son took it apart and put it in mild acid to get rid of the rust. Looks good, everything functions, no major pits no cracks but I need to throw it together, my son wants to refinish it, engrave it "RIP Joe" and give it back to the guy. need new grips too but those are easy to find.

Fred first try your local Ace hardware ours has shelves and shelves of all kinds of screws.
Numrich is a possibility but they think every damn thing they sell is gold plated.

I'd write Ruger first.

Ruger - with a phone call, will probably send them to you at no charge.

The only ones their out of, are the stainless frame screws.

I sent Ruger an email see if they have them, if not one of the places Sanders recommended has them all, my son says he's got them in the garage somewhere but he is in the hospital after an ATV roll over so I'll wait until he gets better.

Good folks over there at Ruger.
Got an e-mail from them the other day. They just came out with a new "cheap" single action .22 revolver. I imagine it will be sub-$200 to compete with the Heritage Arms revolvers. I don't want to see them put Heritage Arms out of business, though. They are good folks, too. |

Wife and kid got pissed off at me last night for shooting a mouse in the house. I only had some .22 mag CCI shotshells and some .44 Special shotshells. I watched my daughter try to catch it for a while, but then it kept getting away from her.
Figured the .22 mag in the Single Six would make less of a mess. Shot it in the linen closet on the floor. Didn't make much of a mess at all. Still loud, though. I really need to pick up some .22 LR shotshells for the occasional mouse in the house. Since .22 ammo has become available again, I've been shooting a lot more of it than anything else. Trying to make up for what I didn't do during drought, I reckon. |

A long time ago a rat got in our house. I shot it behind the washing machine with a .38 spl.
