Welcome to the site where the owners and members have had it with playing "nice" and being "inclusive" and "tolerant" of points of view that are destroying the fabric of what made this country great. The members here are sick and tired of politicians of all parties lying, deceiving, stealing, and pretending they are doing it all for the good of the country while selling out to special interests who have the set goal of destroying this country. We have had enough of career politicians who use their office only for personal gain, and who refuse to listen to the people who put them in office. The membership is no longer part of the silent majority who play nice and get along while getting screwed by anyone with a loud voice and an agenda. We will no longer allow anyone to piss down our back and tell us it's raining. And we like guns too.

Default Anyone use Armscor ammunition

I was wanting to practice using my 1911 with some ammo that's got a little more punch than regular FMJ. But Gold Dots, HSt, and Critical Defense is pretty expensive.

So I bought a couple of boxes of Armscor hollow point for $15.00 each. A few places on line have them for $12 - $13 a box. They look pretty good from the outside. In a few days I'll go to the range and give them a test. I'm thinking they should be good practice ammo.

I know Armscor use to be total crap. But they have moved the manufacturing to the US and they are supposed to be better quality.

I've had no problems with it.

Their .22 magnum works better than any other manufacturer in my AMT Automag II. That thing is finicky as hell.

I've only shot their .22 LR. It works.

That is about the only brand I haven't ran through my 1911, though.

I went to the range last evening and shot two magazines of them. I didn't have any issues with them, they cycled perfectly. It does seem they aren't quite as accurate as Speer Gold Dot or Hornady Critical Defense. But it would be easy to hit someone in the head or center of mass at 50 feet.

I'm going to buy some more to practice with. And for plinking I'll still use the cheapest brass case ammo I find.

I do. When my cases get old I need new ones. So instead of buying brass I buy cheap ammo with brass cases. I also don't reload my own conceal carry rounds. I could, but I don't.

Did you notice it was a tad warmer than other "store bought" ammunition?

I did, also. I'm thinking that may be an accuracy problem. But, it's sure consistent, anyhow.

A lot of European 9mm ammo is loaded hot by US standards.

It's reliable. But it wasn't as accurate for me in the limited testing I did.
