Thank You God
I've got a story to tell and this will be a good one to kickstart this new subforum. I know religious topics have been a hot button lately, so please bear with me.
My wife was on her way to work this morning and was ran off of the road. She tried to save the car. But the roads were too slick because they were covered with snow and ice and she went over the hill into a creek b.e.d. Now for the details. The area where she went over had a heavy amount of trees. There was only and I mean only one spot in that section where a car could have went without hitting a tree. That's where she went over the bank. And when I say bank, I'm not talking about a small embankment. I'm talking about a 20 foot straight-down drop off into a creek b.e.d of solid rock. She calls me from someone's cell phone and told me she was fine and told me where she wrecked. Of course my first concern was that she wasn't hurt. But I knew the area where she told me and knew that it was a bad spot. After I knew she was OK, now I'm thinking about what are we going to do about replacing the car. Then I realized I was worrying too much and that God would provide. Then when I get to the spot and I finally looked at the car for the first time, it wasn't nearly as bad as I was expecting. Then I got to looking closer and I didn't see any major damage. Then when the tow truck pulled the car up out of the creek, the only damage the car sustain was a small piece of broken glass and a scuffed place on the fender that rubbing compound will probably take out. I tried to start the car and it fired right up. I put in gear to check the transmission and it went right into gear. All in all I'd say a $100 tops will fix the window. I got in the car and drove it home. The policeman and the tow truck driver were surprised there wasn't more damage and couldn't figure it out. But I knew the answer. I Thank you Dear Heavenly Father for your hedge of protection. We live in confusing times nowadays and when you see things happening all around you sometimes your Faith gets weak. You wonder why one person is spared and the other isn't. All I can say it's part of a grander scheme. The Good Lord may call me home tomorrow and even later on today. But if he does, do not be sad for me. You see, I am not worried about what happens to my physical body. Bad things happen all the time to good people. But I can assure that when my days on this Earth are through that I will not have to worry, regardless of the circumstances of my departure. I Thank You once again Heavenly Father and I devote my heart and soul to your service regardless of the outcome it brings me on this Earth. Amen!

I did just want to say that this may not particularly be the type of story that belongs as as this forum is for moral support. But I was feeling extremely Blessed this morning as the results could have been way more tragic.
Just for the record I am not going to use this section as my own personal pulpit. I am a lucky man and realize that you have to count your Blessings while you can. I had a feeling this morning that I will never be able to put into words and I justed wanted to share this with you. I hope you all feel free to do the same. I know I may have come on a little strong here, but it was heartfelt and sincere. |

Someone is watching over you. Glad your wife is allright, the car can be fixed.
On more earthly matters, who pushed her off the road?, he needs a visit from mortals. |

To et a phone call saying a loved one had a car accident is one of the worst feelings a person can have. |
